Frequently Asked Questions

Clear technical explanations on elevator engineering, shaft civil prerequisites, statutory certifications, and maintenance commitments.

General & Ordering

Standard residential and passenger elevator configurations require a fabrication lead time of 4 to 6 weeks from approval of final hoistway drawings. Heavy industrial and custom panoramic glass units require 8 to 10 weeks due to specialized curved laminations and tailored structural fabrication.

Yes. Our turnkey project management includes preparing all regulatory documentation, coordinating with government electrical inspectors, scheduling statutory load tests, and obtaining official operating licenses.

All newly commissioned Elita elevator installations include a comprehensive 24-month manufacturer warranty covering all mechanical machinery, VVVF drives, and control electronics, backed by free scheduled maintenance during the warranty period.

Engineering & Civil Architecture

Elita's Machine Room-Less (MRL) technology is designed for minimal civil intrusion. A standard pit depth of 1200 mm to 1500 mm and an overhead clearance of 3800 mm to 4200 mm are sufficient for rated speeds up to 1.75 m/s. Custom shallow-pit solutions (down to 400 mm) are available for retrofits.

Yes. We fabricate freestanding structural steel glass hoistways that can be erected either internally through open stairwells or externally against the building facade, requiring minimal structural disruption to the primary building framing.

Our compact home elevator series can operate on standard domestic 220V single-phase electrical supply. High-speed passenger and commercial elevators require 415V 3-phase, 50Hz power connections.

Safety & Maintenance

The ARD operates completely autonomously via an integrated high-capacity battery bank. Upon grid failure, it activates within 3 seconds, releases the electromechanical brake safely, drives the elevator car to the nearest floor landing, and opens the doors to allow passengers to exit safely.

Our AMC packages cover monthly 48-point multi-system diagnostics, mechanical lubrication, door roller calibration, 24/7 emergency breakdown dispatch, genuine OEM spare part replacements, and annual safety audits.

In accordance with IS 14665 and EN-81 safety codes, safety gear inspections should occur annually, while comprehensive non-destructive wire rope wear analysis is performed during each semi-annual preventative service visit.
